Valentines Day

Valentines day is apon us tomorrow, 14th February, and this is quite a special one. Not only is it Lovelands first Valentines day, its also my first one not being single ;D So that feels pretty good.

I hope that everyone has an awesome day with that special someone, and if you don’t have a special someone, there is no harm in sending something to that someone who you like. You never know what can happen hey. Valentines day has some pretty strong power :p So don’t be shy, tomorrow is the day of all days on which you can let your true feelings show.

From a Secret Admirer
(After Robert Frost’s “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening”)

Whose gift this is you cannot know.
My heart is in your keeping though.
You will not mind my writing here
To tell you that I love you so.

I know that you must think it queer
For me to love and not come near
But linger by some frozen lake
This most romantic time of year.

I sometimes give my head a shake
And ask if there is some mistake.
It’s lonely out here ‘mid the sweep
Of bitter wind and icy flake.

My love for you is dark and deep,
But it’s a promise I will keep
As from afar I watch and weep,
As from afar I watch and weep.

So go out, and don’t forget on this special day,
Spread the love.

What to do…

So you might recall a few posts back (I think it was in Love Letter) I said something along the lines of “I had to learn that the hard way” well, I’m not going to go into much detail, but it just came to me…

What do you do when you tell someone that you like them, and they tell you “Let’s just leave it for now and see what happens”

What do you do from there? How long is “now”? When will something happen?

Honestly, I don’t know – it’s never easy to understand what is going through the other persons mind, the only thing that I can think of doing is maybe waiting for a while, then if nothing has happened after what you feel has been a sufficient amount of time, talk to that person again, cos there is not point in just waiting around for nothing to happen.

Give some things time – other things you need to fight for, it just depends on the situation.

Keep the love.

Love Letter

In the olden days when a man liked a woman and didn’t have the stomach to tell her face to face, he would write her a letter, or vise versa. Today is no different, except it’s a text or e-mail.

Although it does suck having to send a text or e-mail to the person you like, sometimes it’s the only way that you can get your point across, with out looking like a bumbling idiot. With a text or e-mail you have time to formulate what you want to say, you can put it into the right words.

But at the end of the day, his or her reply is going to be the same, whether you do it on a text/e-mail or do it face to face, just the difference with doing it via text/e-mail you have to wait longer for the reply.

So even though you might end up looking like a plank telling that person you like them, best to just do it in real life, its just so much better – I had to learn this the hard way.

So remember kids, keep it real and spread the love!

Late Reply

We’ve all gotten the message “Hey sorry for the late reply…”
Its one of the worst things in the world because once you have sent your text to the person, you do expect a message back kinda soon – not 5 hours later.

The worst is when you send a message to someone that you like, or are going out with, and they don’t reply. Then the stress starts. You begin to think “Why isn’t she/he answering, what is she/he doing, is she/he ok, should I send another message, did I say something wrong?” It sucks because you almost start panicking.

You want to know why this person is not replying, but then you don’t want to send another message asking what is going on, or miss call that person cos you don’t want to piss them off. It is honestly one of the worst things in the world, not to get a reply from that person, especially if you are having a conversation about something really important.

But I guess when that message finally comes; you forget about all the strain from before and just take it as it comes.

So, just remember, when you get a message just reply, it only takes a minute of your time.

Love, peace and happiness.

Goodbye my lover…

Under the madness that was these last 3 weeks, I have decided to let go of my love for this special someone, it just wasn’t a two way thing, and other circumstances have led to this.

And now I am in a funny mood, you know the one, when you have to give up something you want to keep but you know you can’t have anymore, it’s like giving up your blankie as a kid. It hurts.

So here is to you, my lover.

Goodbye my lover
Goodbye my friend,
You have been the one,
you have been the one for me.
